Few thoughts on Life. No big deal.
As midnight draws closer, my sense of wisdom wants to burst out every now so often. And so I shall tonight. I am going to share some thoughts on life, and might I add – trust me, I’m an expert – I’ve lived it.
Life is tough. Despite the most horrific experiences in life, life moves on. It has to. Breaking up with a loved one or even losing close ones forever, life moves on. It’s tougher than you know.
Life is fragile. So take good care of it. Exercise and eat healthy. I am not preaching what I exercise myself, I’ll be honest, but I’m preaching what I strongly believe in. I know I need to exercise more, but before I start making empty promises and eventually succumb to the world of laziness, I want to express that I, of all people, know how important it is to take care of one’s body.
Experience life. Don’t just live it. There’s so much one should experience. The scenic beauty of a white sand beach. The first kiss from a girl. Delicious sea food of San Francisco bay area. The smile of a toddler. A hike to Yosemite falls. A drive through Skyline drive. And so much more.
Be thankful for what you have. And be even more be thankful for what you do not. Learn to appreciate the little things and learn to see the big things in life as what they truly are.
Do something good for others. As much as you can for as long as you can. The lives you will touch are more than the lives you’ve actually touched. Good deeds are like chain reactions. And unfortunately, so are bad deeds. So be mindful of your deeds and be generous to others.
Realize you are unique. But you are not the only one. Everybody is unique in their own ways. Your true success lies not in others, but within yourself. So feel free to seek inspiration from others, but never make the mistake of thinking you go through the same thing as someone else.
Work hard. But know when to take a break. Success, as they say, is 5% inspiration and 95% perspiration. If you think you’re not good at something, do it over and over again. If you think you’re good at something, do it over and over again until you become even better at it.
Relax. Don’t let life scare you. Don’t let life make you tired. Take good care of it, and life will take good care of you.
