Usage History of Apps We Use Daily
My ideal dinner table conversation with friends would be one that covers Game of Thrones (no spoilers here though), politics and technology. We had a few friends over for dinner last night, and one of the conversations that piqued my interest was about privacy and how the applications we use these days keep track of information surrounding our lives. To that end, I thought it would be useful to write a blog post about some of these popular applications and where we can view the history of our interactions with them.
Google Maps Location History
From here you can choose to view location history for specified duration. If you choose to pause google from tracking location history, you can do so from here.
In addition to this you can view all of google activities (including Youtube searches) on https://myactivity.google.com/myactivity
Facebook Information History
This is your facebook information portal where you can view your information history (posts you shared, friend request you sent, items bought/sold in marketplace and more). You can view There’s also a section for “Information about you” here where facebook displays your Ads interests, Advertisers who uploaded a contact list with your information as well as location history, and much more. In addition to viewing the information you shared, you can also view your overall activity logs here.
Amazon Alexa Voice Commands History

You can choose from Today, This Week, This Month, All History, Custom options from there and you would also have the option to delete your voice recordings for this period of time.
Amazon Product Browsing History
This page lists the browsing history (including items you bought, although not distinguished from non purchased items) of your most recent product views. This page also allows you to Turn Browsing History On/Off or Remove all items from view.
iPhone Significant Locations History
From your iPhone, go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services > Significant Locations. From here you can view history of significant locations and if you wish, you can turn off recording significant locations from this page.
